The role may include additional duties within the scope of the position.Education and ExperienceHigh School graduate or equivalent required. Preference for graduates of a certified Nursing Assistant Program or Health Occupations Program (HOSA).Preferred: completion of first clinical rotation as a Nurse Student (e.g., completion of “Nursing Fundamentals” course) or at least one year of experience in an acute care, nursing home, or home care setting.License and CertificationBLS required.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of body mechanics and basic safety, principles of physical care and comfort.Medical terminology training preferred.Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Work Conditions and Physical RequirementsPosition requires sitting for approximately 20% of the workday and mobility for 80% of the workday. Requires occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching, frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions.Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds. Requires clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation (phone or in person). Continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges. Protected from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
